Because I wasn't paying attention, one time I accidentally put my tissue box into the washing machine.

Because its interior was formed by a thin layer of cardboard and it had been put in the washing machine, the box became limp and was no longer usable for its original purpose. It can still open and close, but it looks very creased.

I left it there for quite a while without paying attention. Then one day I found in the corner of the room a fairly thick cardboard calendar backing that had previously been used to hang a block calendar.

Since I'd procrastinated for a long time, that evening I took the chance to listen to a watv video while cutting and gluing to repair the box. I cut the calendar backing into pieces that fit the structure of the box.

I'm not very skilled at sewing, and being lazy and wanting to finish quickly (since only I would use it), my stitches look rather sloppy. The cutting took a bit longer because, even though I'm a bit chubby, my wrist bones are quite weak, so it took a while to cut. Sewing was quick — a little fiddling and it was done.

A sturdy box to hold my snacks was finished.

I give thanks to the Creator for making me a playful little orange cat that lay there playing and watching me work. Sometimes I tease my cat by picking it up, putting it inside, and pretending to slam the lid shut.
