The earth is heating up. Climate disasters such as heat waves, cold waves, heavy rainfall, and heavy snowfall are becoming more frequent and severe. The advanced industrial development has contributed to the prosperity of modern civilization, but it has also left humans with the enormous challenges of environmental pollution and global warming.

To overcome the global crisis facing humanity, all countries and people of every age group need to pay attention to it and make active efforts. The older generation has a responsibility for the earth they have lived on, and the younger generation needs urgent action for a sustainable planet.

As the “Hope Supporters” who share hope with people around the world, the Church of God members in over 7,800 locations across 175 countries participate together in the following activities to address climate change, transcending generations.

Activity Details

  • 1
We strive to reduce carbon emissions and protect ecosystems by preventing the flow of plastic waste into the oceans and promoting public participation in plastic reduction efforts
  • 2
We work hard to enhance carbon uptake and preserve biodiversity by planting trees and protecting forests through the “Forest of Hope” campaign aimed at keeping our forests thriving all across the world.
  • 3
We promote carbon reduction practices in homes, schools and workplaces, leaving footprints of hope instead of carbon footprints in everyday life.
  • 4
We strengthen community resilience by helping the victims of climate disasters recover and rebuild their lives through relief efforts in the affected areas around the world.
  • 5
We work in partnership with international organizations, central governments and local authorities as well as institutions, groups, businesses, and experts across all sectors to encourage active participation in international efforts against climate change and to promote public awareness and action.
