I would like to tell you the story of saving belongings by repairing and reusing a power strip (a multi-socket outlet) instead of throwing it away.

My plug was broken. It lost one prong so I couldn't use it and it was dangerous, and I didn't know how to reconnect the wires to replace the plug.

I kept that power strip in the house for quite a long time; also, I couldn't turn on another lamp in my home because the cords sold outside were all shorter and about 50 cm shorter than what I needed. I thought, "maybe one day I'll know how to replace the plug." But that "one day" never came.

Then one day, I planned to throw the whole power strip into electronic waste because I didn't know how to fix it and it had been in the house for a long time. Maybe if I threw it away someone else would know how to fix it.

I also hesitated and was "lazy" to take it to the electrician. (To be honest, I chose to drink bubble tea instead of getting the cord fixed)

At that time, I was given a new colleague who knew how to replace cords, and he replaced the plug cable for me by using an equivalent spare plug head that wasn't being used.

I was very happy when the power strip was fixed.
